Preparing to be a first time mom, I was all over, researching every possible baby product I came across online or in the stores. I saw this and just had to have one! It’s nice, but I could have just as easily purchased a thin blanket and gotten the same result for a cheaper price.

My sister loves this cover-up, it is just as cute as the other brands and less expensive!

This is actually the second one i bought becuase i loved it so much and i had to get it for my sister. This is great for any nursing mom wanting a little privacy without messing with a blanket. My son is now 7 1/2 months old and it still works pretty well, even when he tries to tear it off…much better than a blanket. It is great to be able to see your little one without exposing too.

I felt like a chump when this arrived, since it’s really just a piece of fabric with a strap around the top. However, after a couple of weeks of nursing my newborn, I’ve decided the purchase was worth it. With my other babies I just used a big scarf when nursing in public. This is lighter, gives better coverage, and has that nifty little ‘peek in’ feature at the top.

I am a very private person and was concerned about exposing myself when breastfeeding and pumping. My peanut shell provided me with the privacy I needed. (A simple blanket doesn’t work, especially when you have an active nurser. I tried.) Nursing mothers know that if you want to leave your house during those first few months, you will have to nurse in public be it your car, a restaurant, or even the beach. The peanut shell is stylish and looks like a cape. I quickly learned that people are completely oblivious to what you are doing.

At about 6 months I could not longer use the cover when nursing because my daughter kept pushing it aside; however, by that point her schedule was such that I rarely found myself having to nurse her outside our home.

This product is also perfect for the working/pumping mother. You’re locked in your office or classroom hoping no one walks in. I don’t know about you but my teaching colleagues were full of horror stories. I use my peanut shell as a “privacy shield” when pumping just in case.
